Thursday Velvet darling

Last Thursday (July 7) spent the evening with Miss Deane on U-street, DC. Had a quick dinner at Bus Boy and Poets, the food was yummy as always. I can never get myself to order something new at BB&P, I end up playing it safe and ordering the portabella panini and sweet potato fries. Rushed over to Velvet lounge after dinner to catch a show with the band Grammar opening and The Anatomy of Frank. Our friend Cesar is actually the lead guitarist for Grammar, so we came out to support the music. The band itself is a rock/indie/dance group and I personally think the lead vocalist sounds like the lead singer in New Found Glory but a little less nasally. Their set was awesome, they definitely got the crowd moving and dancing to the beat of their funky/catchy tunes. Following after was The Anatomy of Frank, they are a five guy band but only two of the guys were holding the show down, they are an indie/experimental group. With keyboards, synthesizers, and cool lights covering the whole stage, they  really put together an amazing show, I was absolutely mesmerized by their performance. check em out
