Wall Hangings

These summer days I've been working with tons of yarn, gold hoops, and dye--playing around and endless experimenting. Came up with a couple new designs that I'm absolutely crazy about and I'm excited to share them with you.

I created a couple unique macrame wall hangings that effuses a soft flowy boho feel. These are perfect boho/urban pieces to display on your walls within your bedroom, livingroom, and it's even great for wedding decor.

These textile wall hangings features gold hoops, cream yarn that is knotted into a beautiful macrame design and flows into a loose fringe, and each is topped off with wooden beads & a unique adornment.

I posted these designs on my Etsy account this afternoon, so if you are interested hop over to my etsy account and take a look. Also for the rest of the summer I am offering free shipping for all orders if you use the coupon code: HEYYOO

Thanks for looking!

home sweet home

For this post I wanted to share the details that dwell within the walls of our home. My hubby and I moved into our house in the middle of April of this year. When we first moved in we barely had any decorations and furniture for the living room, the only thing we had was a couch and some of the decoration we used for our wedding. So we had to start fresh and search around for goods to fill our living room with. Honestly we didnt have much money set aside for furniture and whatnot, our budget was pretty tight. So I first started off thrifting for small things that I could possibly revamp. Spent a great amount of time at Ross and Marshalls; I was surprised with the amount of neat stuff they carried, and of course the prices. Aside from shopping, a great amount of my time was also spent on crafting. Most of the wall décor was handmade, such as the macrame and collages. The overall feel I wanted to shoot for was a boho/urban style, lots of geometric shapes, soft colors but yet hints of bold colors here and there.

I used gold hoops and tons of yarn to make this 3 piece wall decor. Hung this piece on top of our bookshelf and scattered below stuff I found from thrifting. There I found tons of cute teacups and transferred succulents into the cups.

This is our little "fire place" which I personally think is a little chaotic as of right now. There is definatley alot of things going on, but I'll keep it like this for a bit until I figure out what else to do.
We covered the fire place with fabric and strung across our polaroids and photobooth pictures. We also displayed our "love tree" from our wedding, which has all the sweet messages from our guest.

Purchased the hexagon mirrors at Ikea and hand painted an abstract design with acrylic paint. It took me forever to figure out the placement of the mirrors.

This spot over here is my favorite area in the entire house. We snagged this gold tree trunk lamp for such a great deal at Marshalls and we also found the hexagon terraruim there as well--score! I also created this macrame wall decor and hung yarn in the middle to give it some flair.

Our sweet Ramona nestled in her favorite spot.

I'm obessed with rugs! I bought a couple aztec design rugs from TJMax and purchased the geometric rug from Urbanoutfitters.

And this is the chair where I am currently plop down on as I finish this post. Hope you guys enjoy these photos!

currently listening to telescope eyes by Eisley
Im beginning to think that snow isn't coming our way this year by the looks of it outside. The weathers been awfully confusing, ya it sure is winter but the temperature says otherwise. Lately its been 50-60 degrees outside, pretty perfect weather and I really don't mind, especially since I'm not a fan of cold weather.
But for some reason I was really looking forward for snow this year, or even a blizzard. Usually I don't get all hyped up about the flurries and the snow storms but the idea of being snowed in with the people you love, relaxing, and watching movies makes me smile. Well who knows, the weathers been extremely unpredictable so who am I to say that there wont be snow this year. Anyways let me stop blabbing about the weather and greet y'all, Happy February guys! Hope you all had a fun and productive January cause I sure did. My January consisted of working, reading, and creating stuff. I've been designing a heap load of goodies and im super excited to share them with ya. A whole lot of crafting has been going on as well and this month I'll be sure to post up a few DIYs, which will mostly consist of Valentine crafts, so stay tuned! To end this post, I wanna feature a  few of my favorite Valentine items from etsy, and here they are..

For all you couples, I thought this was pretty funny, dual valentine gloves
