First day of March greeted us with such glorious weather. Its was perfect enough to roam around Alexandria and celebrate a birthday. And that is exactly what we did, spent the delightful afternoon celebrating another year in my lovely little cousin, Ruthie's life. If you haven't noticed, her pretty face is seen in most of my photos on my blog. She's my little sunshine, more of a little sister than a cousin, and the best companion. I'm so amazed at how she has grown into such a beautiful young lady. Not only does beauty radiate from the outside but her beauty gracefully glows from the inside. Such a kind spirited, selfless, intelligent, talented, and wise young lady. Sometimes I really forget how young she is. Anyhow, here is to another year Tootsie, hope you had a unforgettable birthday. most importantly I pray you continue to draw closer to our heavenly father and that you continue to bless others with the talents God has blessed you with. LOVE YOU to death!

1st Birthday
On New Years Eve day, I arrived early that morning in San Diego. I was excited and ready to spend a beautiful day under the sunny San Diego sky. Once I arrived at the airport, my close friend and I headed over to my friend's daughters birthday party.
I just had to share this marvelous birthday party with you guys. My sweet friend Sarah Joy threw a fabulous first birthday party for her precious daughter. I'm so grateful to have spent that afternoon celebrating Audrey's birthday with the rest of her family and friends. The party was beautifully detailed from the decorations to the delectable sweets. Overall I loved how everything came out, everything was covered in pretty vintage and very personal. Sarah Joy is seriously super mom, she did all the design and decoration. Wonderful job Sarah! Thanks so much for inviting me!
Audrey is such a beaut like her mommy.
Yay for mustaches and photo booths
Oh by the way, you guys should check out Sarah Joy's BLOG. She has such a creative and beautiful mind. Her site is filled with photos, DIYs, stories, and all things lovely.

Tribal Theme
currently listening to Float by Erin Mckeown
Last month I had quite the crafty spree, working with a flood of colorful feathers and plenty of suede. I constructed individual tribal head pieces which were used for a friend's themed birthday party. I know Halloween is over and done with this year but these feathered headbands are such fun pieces, that I would wear em every now and then, well the less extravagant ones of course. Unfortunately for this post I cant put together a tutorial, but i'll post some pictures of the finished pieces, and hopefully it will set a heap of creative ideas and inspiration.
I'LL leave you guys with a bunch of pictures from Laya's birthday party (L.Event). This party was just not any ordinary birthday party. It was beautifully filled with amazing performances(singing&spoken word), face/body paint, tribal wear, and just wonderful people. I'm sure it was a unforgettable event for everyone.

Fifteen
My younger cousin Megan celebrated her 15th birthday the other day. I cant believe how fast shes grown, physically and intellectually. She is such a beautiful and loving cousin and i although it can be annoying at times, i really admired her guts, she isnt afraid to speak her mind( I swear, she is a replica of her father). I love her to death!
This is Victoria, ive colored her hair in the past. The last time we bleached her hair then deposited some red but after a few months her hair eventually faded to copper, as red tends to always do. So I redid her roots and slapped on a fiery red that looks perfect on her. I actually stepped out of my box and used a new haircolor product on her, i used Ion Color Brilliance, this actually had more of an intense color and it made her hair stronger and shiner, plus it smelled like berries. Im sold!
Happy birthday my love, please dont try to grow up too fast
yupp, she loves me that much

Hair Everywhere
This week i had a couple of clients, here are some pictures...
I desperately needed a model for my perm final at school and Deane came to the rescue. Venting out on my opinions on perms...it is quite a long process and a messy one too. Wrapping the hair and using that fetid/ strong solution that ends up stinking the place, i am clearly not a fan. Despite my dislike of perms, Deane's hair turned out fabulous after hours of work. Her hair originally was stick straight and extremely long, after she had a soft beach wave to hair, which is absolutely perfect for the summer.
all done |
After a long days at work, we both were beat, so we went to Artisphere which is a block away from my school, grabbed some dinner and some margaritas (yay for happy hour!) Looked around the venue, checked out the art gallery, and i took a few shots of Deane outside the terrace...
much love <3 jenn
