There are those moments in life when we feel like we are in the deepest pit surrounded by the heart wrenching feelings of pain. No doubt, in life suffering is inevitable and there is no escape from these occurrences. But as a child of God, we have the comforting thought and truth that we have a heavenly father who sympathizes with us through our sufferings. In all our sorrows His sympathy is there, whether it be pain, temptation,weakness, and disappointment, He knows and understands our situations because He has experienced and felt them all. He was tempted in all points as we are, but without sin Each burden and pain has once been laid on His shoulders, so however difficult the road is, just know that He truly sympathizes with us and is so eager to reach out and cover us with his love. So find sweet support in His sympathy and let this unfailing truth strengthen you.
For this reason he had to be made like them, fully human in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people. Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted. Hebrews 2:17-18
